"RELENTLESS DRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE"

Etta is a self-motivated young athlete, driven to achieve excellence.

After seeing her mother work out, as a young child Etta was inspired to ask join weightlifting classes. She was immediately hooked on the sport, and was soon lifting on a daily basis.

With big dreams, she spent all her free time, on her own, in her family's unheated garage, intrinsically driven to be the best in her sport. In the last 2 years Etta has set a new record for the youngest North American female to ever lift over a 200kg total, won a gold medal at Youth Worlds, and set 3 new PanAmerican records.

Etta is an absolutely wonderful athlete to coach-talented, driven and mature beyond her years. I am so lucky to witness her relentless drive for excellence and progress in every training session and competition. She is committed to her growth as an athlete, but also to her family, her schooling, and her goals. I am always incredibly impressed when I see what steps she is taking in life to make World Teams, medal at International meets and continue to progress -- all which will get her to her ultimate goal, the Olympic Games.
